He told us how his department partners up with the VA to help the 1,600 homeless veterans in the area. We also heard Brian Lamar read the first day of the four-day hike from 11th Cavalry troops who hike all the way from Monterey to south Big Sur.

John talked to us about NTC and what the importance of this training area is to the military in terms of preparing for war. We also heard from the Defense Language Institute's Sgt. Maj. David Ford, who talked about the upcoming Veterans Day ceremony that will be held on 10 Nov in the Berlin Wall memorial area.
